Following weight loss or pregnancy, it may seem a bit cruel that some women’s bodies have a difficult time returning to their previous appearance.
What To Expect During Mommy Makeover Surgery
During mommy makeover surgery, you can expect to undergo the procedure in a state-of-the-art surgery center in Orange County under general anesthesia. The specifics of the surgery will depend on the individualized treatment plan determined by Dr. Esmailian during your consultation. Throughout the procedure, Dr. Esmailian and his surgical team work diligently to achieve the desired outcomes while prioritizing your comfort and safety. After the surgery, you will rest for a brief recovery period in our post-op room, during which you’ll receive guidance from our team to facilitate healing and optimize results.
Mommy Makeover Recovery
Your recovery process depends on the procedures you choose for your mommy makeover. On average, you will need a couple of weeks of downtime as your body recuperates. During this time, you will want a friend or family at home to help you with any heavy lifting or work required at home, including picking up your kids and caring for your children.
Dr. Esmailian will provide comprehensive post-operative instructions and during your recovery process, will be available to you and will remain in contact with you to guide you through a smooth healing process. You will wear compression garments to help reduce the swelling and ensure your body’s new contours and shapes heal beautifully. Women who have a tummy tuck will have drains around their abdomen, which will be removed within a few days.
After about two weeks, light, sedentary work may resume if you feel up to it. No strenuous activity or heavy lifting should be attempted until at least six weeks have passed.
Generally, healing will be fully complete and swelling fully reduced at approximately 6 months after your mommy makeover. You can expect a firm, fit abdomen, full, beautiful breasts, and an overall lift and rejuvenation of your feminine physique.
