After receiving his medical degree at the George Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Esmailian went on to complete a General Surgery Residency Program at the prestigious University of Southern California. During this time, he was broadly recognized for outstanding accomplishments in both surgical skills as well as leadership ability. He received numerous honors, including Outstanding Resident of the Year, Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year, and Administrative Chief Resident. Despite the fact that he now had the credentials and skills to begin a prosperous medical career, Dr. Esmailian opted to continue his medical education at the Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis with his Plastic Surgery Residency.
